Though age often plays an aspect into respect, Shiro would never base his respect off someone’s age. He’s seen younger men with more credibility and maturity than older veterans. Adam’s earned every shred of respect the ex-slave holds for him. Likewise, he has no desire for anyone other than Adam to be by his side as a lover and partner. The tug to his leg earns a small laugh as his foot slips over the edge of the pool, leaving him balancing on his other leg a little. “Damn, you caught me,” he murmurs, sculpted torso still flexing and relaxing with his heavy breaths. That smile… Adam’s handsome face never once fails to capture Shiro’s heart.
Sighing in defeat, Shiro tugs his leg back onto the pool rim and then crouches down, balancing on the balls of his feet and toes as his knees splay to give him a place to rest his elbows on his knees. When they were younger, their immaturity did lead to their relationship ending, but they've certainly grown up from that. In spite of everything, Shiro is the most mature person that Adam knows and has earned every feeling that Adam has for him. There is no one else he would rather have by his side. (He'll show him the list, and they'll have a good laugh in the end before Adam presses a loving kiss to his boyfriend's red face.)

A thumb brushes his ankle and Shiro shivers gently at the soothing touch, the thin, sensitive skin over the bone tingling in the wake of Adam’s touch. “No one,” he agrees again. Only to blink out of the romantic glaze when the pilot says something about prize. Oh crap! He forgot! The hand on his ankle trades for the rim of the pool and one of Shiro’s muscular shoulders. Like a mythical merman Adonis bursting from the waves; that’s what the Paladin thinks of as Adam shoves up through the water and over the rim of the pool, sluicing liquid all over Shiro’s legs and hips as he’s pulled down for a kiss. He leans into it without hesitation, eyes closing as he feels Adam’s burning desire for him nigh-glowing against his face and neck. Caught… addicted… and wanting. Wanting to be taken by the man who’s captured him heart and all.
Shiro wraps his arm around Adam’s shoulders and upper back, pulling him into the kiss as well as he deepens it, a low groan of desire building in his throat. He finally breaks the kiss, only enough to get his words out, lips brushing over his lover’s as he speaks. “Where?” Here on the tiles beside the pool or in the water itself?

While he is definitely used to Shiro being on top of him, both from fighting against one another and from their more intimate activities, Shiro is still heavy. But in the end, if he had to, he would let Shiro fall on him a million times if it meant that Shiro could be safer. His breath is coming back to him, but his smile is strong as ever as that touch works through his wet hair. There was always a fascination of with those hands, how they can do so much, and yet feel so soft--
There was never any option to not accept Shiro once he returned. He let him get away once without telling him everything he felt, and Adam wasn't about to let him slip away again. Shiro was never a wreck. His body showed off everything the man went through and survived. While he would definitely wish over and over again that Shiro did not have to go through everything he did, he would not stop thanking his body for carrying him through it. He relearned Shiro's body to show him that he won't turn away from, not now, not ever.
He groans into the kiss as Shiro helps hold him up, feeling the warmth from Shiro's body be countered from the coolness of the water still coating their bodies. Adam can swear that the heat from them is enough to turn the water covering them into steam, masking their actions from any prying eyes who also felt that a midnight swim sounded like a good idea.
Adam lets his tongue brush against Shiro's lips as he pulls away, eyes lidded as he looks at his lover. They only have so much time together before this private moment before it has to end. He considers the possibilities, before only one thing becomes clear to him.
"Water," he says, slowly letting go of Shiro so that the man can come into the water with him.

Date: 2020-01-27 04:26 am (UTC)Warmth stoked in his chest builds into a heat he can’t deny as lips find his own once again. It’s so tempting to just fall back onto the floor and pull Adam atop him, but he gave the man a choice. If they’re going to turn the water into steam, well… Shiro really hopes no one’s going to be attempting to same “sneak into the closed pool after hours” sort of deal he and Adam already enacted. The door’s locked and the glass is darkened, so hopefully that’ll keep any potential prying eyes away.
Shiro groans a little in protest as Adam’s tongue slips from his own, leaving a glassy thread between them and the man’s taste lingering on his lips. His own eyes lid halfway, heavy with arousal and pupils slightly blown from lust. Maybe they do only have a short time, but to hell with it. He’s going to enjoy what they can wrangle from it. A single word answer is all he needs and he lightly nudges Adam’s strong chest with his shin. As his boyfriend backs away from the edge of the pool, Shiro catches hold of the rim and slips his legs into the water. One push and arch is all it takes to plunge back into the blue.
He sinks down to his chest, bobs for a moment, then drifts forward, bringing himself to Adam’s position in the water. Blindly he searches under the rippling surface, eventually finding the man’s hand with his own. Metal fingers interlace with Adam’s flesh and Shiro pulls them together with the touch. Treading water just ends up rubbing their knees and legs together and he offers the man a cool smile before throwing his flesh arm around his lover’s shoulder and pulling him into a kiss. Water closes over their heads as Shiro sinks with him, tangling his legs together with Adam’s and grinding his naked body flush with the other man’s.
