( luchino airily waves a hand, not to dismiss shiro's reasoning, but to assure him that the reptilian understands. he can't be upset if there's still some level of distrust, a need to perhaps escape as quickly as possible, or defend himself through some kind of technology that luchino can't understand. it does... make him curious, though: what kind of horrors are out there that require a machine of that size? are there people like luchino, or perhaps something even better--- purple cat-like aliens that conquer for their empire...!

but luchino stops suddenly after some amount of thinking, in front of one door. one that is larger than the other ones, so that someone of a wider and taller frame could squeeze in without hurting himself. as the former scientist reaches out to touch the doorknob and wrap his long fingers around it, he turns to look at shiro with the smallest curl of a smile on his lips. )
Magic or not, alternate dimension or not, it doesn't matter. There are some things that an explanation would never suffice.
( as for the second thing... if he could blush, he would. but the corners of his eyes crinkle, as that smile deepens. )
I'd like that. Again, it's been a long time since someone was concerned for my well-being.
( he opens the door. inside, the room is dimly lit with candles, some of which sit on a plain wooden table with two brown stools. bookshelves line the room, with what looks like dozens and dozens of books of many sizes. and of course, one luchino-sized bed, which takes up most of his place. on the table itself are two white boxes, innocuous and plain, and the scent of freshly baked pizza hangs gently in the air.
